Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of jobintaker.com and all related services (the “Service”), provided by Into Idea Canada Startup Hub Inc. (“JobIntaker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use JobIntaker. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

  • You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering, including a valid email address.
  • If you sign in via LinkedIn or Facebook, you authorize us to receive your name, email, and profile photo from that provider for account creation and login purposes.
  • Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Description of Service

JobIntaker lets you build a structured career profile and use AI to generate tailored, ATS-friendly resume versions for specific job applications, along with match analysis and related features. Some features are available on a Free plan; others require a Premium subscription (see Section 4).

4. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Free plan: includes a first tailored resume per job application at no cost, plus limited AI Assist usage.
  • Premium plan: $9.99/month, billed monthly, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
  • The free trial is available once per customer. Signing up for multiple accounts to obtain repeated trials is not permitted.
  • Unless cancelled before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid, recurring monthly subscription and your payment method will be charged.
  • You can cancel anytime from your Account settings. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not retroactively refund the current billing period (see our Refund Policy).
  • Payments are processed by Square. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

5. AI-Generated Content

  • Resume content, suggestions, and match analysis are generated using AI (including OpenAI’s API) based on the information you provide.
  • AI output may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying the accuracy of any resume, cover letter, or other content before submitting it to an employer or third party.
  • JobIntaker does not guarantee that using the Service will result in interviews, job offers, or any specific employment outcome.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to submit false or misleading information (e.g., fabricated work history or credentials)
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the Service beyond your own account
  • Circumvent usage limits (e.g., AI Assist caps) through automated means or multiple accounts
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Service to third parties without our permission
  • Upload content that infringes on others’ intellectual property or violates applicable law

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Your content: you retain ownership of the career and profile information you submit. You grant JobIntaker a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you (e.g., sending it to OpenAI’s API to generate tailored output).
  • Our platform: the JobIntaker name, logo, software, and design are owned by Into Idea Canada Startup Hub Inc. and may not be copied or used without permission.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including OpenAI (AI processing), Square (payments), Cloudflare (file storage), Google (email delivery), and optionally LinkedIn/Facebook (login). Your use of these integrations is also subject to those providers’ own terms and policies.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or effective.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobIntaker and Into Idea Canada Startup Hub Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any employment outcomes related to resumes or content generated through the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
